Silat has come a long way. Competitions now not only occur in indoor arenas, but outdoor as well. From 30 September to 4 October the 1st World Beach Pencak Silat Championship was held in Phuket Thailand. A total of 18 teams competed in the competition. Our athletes sacrificed their blood, sweat and tears to overcome the challenges of the competition.

Gold Medalist:
Muhammad Syakir Bin Jeffry - Male Class G (75kg - 80kg)
Sheik Ferdous Bin Sheik Alauddin - Male Class I (85kg - 90kg)

Silver Medalist:
Nurzuhairah Bte Mohd Yazid - Artistic Single Female
Adib Farhan Bin Ramli - Male Class E (65kg - 70kg)

Bronze Medalist:
