SSFAC

The Singapore Silat Federation Athletes Commission (SSFAC) is a body maintained by the Singapore Silat Federation for the purpose of representing athletes.
Members of the SSF Athletes’ Commission are nominated by the SSF itself.

Our vision is to promote a conductive, supportive and sustainable environment to enable athletes in SSF to achieve their potential. We will aim to champion and establish opportunities or platforms for athletes to connect, develop, to be educated and be heard.

The areas that the SSF AC will be focusing in include:

  • Empower Athlete Representation in SSF Movement decision-making processes
  • Support Athlete Development in their sporting and non-sporting careers
  • Promote Athlete Involvement in decision-making across the SSF Movement
  • Ensure Athlete Representation in SSF decision-making

Functions

The Commission is a consultative body whose function is to act as the link between active athletes and the Board Members. It makes recommendations to the SSF’s management committees.
